CUPE 932: Library Workers Empower Communities

CUPE 932 is 60 this year. It’s time we let the community know it is our Members who deliver the programs and services they love at the library. To do this, we’re heading to several events over the next few months.

Sunday, June 23 – Open Streets Hamilton – Sherman Hub (King St and Sherman Ave) – 10 am to 2 pm
Saturday, July 6 – Farmers’ Market Storytime – 10 – 2
Saturday, July 13 – Good Shepherd Family Shelter Storytime and Outreach – 143 Wentworth
Sunday, July 21 – Sundays UnLocked – Locke St – 10 am to 5 pm
Saturday, August 10 – Farmers’ Market Storytime – 10 – 2
Monday, September 2 – Labour Day – Downtown Parade and Bayfront Picnic – 10:30 am to 2:30 pm

We are also waiting for confirmation on:
A Park Clean Up
Gore Park Outreach Storytime, Crafts – This is going to be on a Saturday

If your library neighbourhood has a special event coming up, let us know if we can participate.

We need YOU to make these events a success.

We’ll set up a tent, tables, chairs, activities and giveaways to spread the word about 932’s awesome Members.

We need Union Members to tell stories, create crafts, draw chalk creatures, paint faces, dance, turns balloon into art, blow bubbles, do magic tricks, juggle and any other activities that you think would make the outreach engaging. Feel free to bring friends and family to help out. You’ll be rewarded with food, refreshments and CUPE 932 swag.
