Yes. I live in Ward 3 and have built my community, advocacy, research, healthcare and arts work here in Hamilton.
When was the last time you used your library card? What is your favourite library service?
The beginning of September. My favourite service is Local History & Archives, where I’ve curated the Jelena Vermilion Collection to preserve overlooked Hamilton histories.
What is the library’s role in the community?
Libraries are essential public infrastructure. Library workers create welcoming spaces for learning, connection, culture, digital access, archives and support for everyone. Libraries save lives via prevention.
What is your priority issue in your ward?
My priority is making Hamilton more affordable and livable: expanding affordable, RGI, co-op and non-profit housing while protecting tenants and maintaining essential public services.
What’s the largest crisis facing Hamiltonians, and how would you fix it?
Homelessness and addiction. I would expand affordable and supportive housing, protect existing stock, strengthen tenant protections, and connect housing with health and social supports.
